First Go

Well this is my first crack at blogging. I figured I'd give it a shot, since I enjoy reading others' and getting training and nutrition tips.
I'm currently training for my 3rd 10km. It's in 8 weeks, and I have a bit of hard work ahead of me. I'm also training for my first sprint triathlon which I'm very excited about!

Currently, my training consists of going to cycling classes, running on the treadmill, strength training, a little bit of swimming and the odd outside run when the weather cooperates.

I'm somewhat struggling with the nutrition side of things. I find it challenging to eliminate all processed foods and white sugar from my diet. I've made it a daily goal to have one big spinach salad, and drink water throughout the day. I figure I'll take it one step at a time.

The gym is such a great release; it's a way to channel all your energy (positive or negative). I always leaving feeling a sense of accomplishment.

After my swim yesterday morning, my eyes suffered all day from the chlorine! So painful! My next purchase will definitely be some goggles.

Any suggestions to improve my training regime or types of goggles are appreciated :)
